Match.com UK free trial

October 12th, 2008

Looking for the match.com free trial? Here’s how to get it. match.com UK are now offering a 7 day free trial, rather than 72 hours free trial they used to offer.

Here’s how to get your Match free trial in the UK:

  1. Click here to go to match.com
  2. Sign up with your details
  3. Go to the subscription page by clicking on “subscribe now” on the top left

You will need to put your credit card details in as if you are paying for your subscription, but (and here’s the cool part) the first 7 days of each subscription period are absolutely free! You will only be billed after 7 days, so if you don’t like the site, you can cancel within 7 days and you won’t get charged. If you’re in the UK and want to try out Match for free for a week, then that’s your best bet.

Please note that I’ve occasionally had reports from people who said this didn’t work for them.

Click here to go to match.com now

For the USA Match site, you can use the link below for your free trial instead:

If you’re after a match.com (USA) discount, rather than a free trial, read my other post instead.

Please be aware that match.com are getting a load of bad feedback regarding their 3 day trial period. Many customers getting charged for a 6 month period even when they have cancelled within the 3 day period. I would warn potential customers who are tempted to sign up for the trial to be aware of this scam

I don’t know the specific cases, but in my experience, the problem is usually a misunderstanding about how the system works. Match make you cancel at least 48 hours before the next renewal date, which in the case of a 3 day trial would mean practically doing it straight away. The free trial I was talking about here is an unofficial one. The site only charges you after 7 days normally. Though I would still advise to cancel before the 7 days are up if you’re not interested in carrying on.

This is how it used to be when I wrote this post. Maybe they’ve changed it now? Let me know what happens with your refund.

Sometimes they run other trials and then this one doesn’t work. They may be running a 3 day trial now.
