Sometimes they run other trials and then this one doesn’t work. They may be running a 3 day trial now.

hi, the site charged me straight away and i hv lost £89.94. i have contacted them asking what happened as you specifically said they will only charge after 7 days.i have requested a refund as i cannt afford the money.

I don’t know the specific cases, but in my experience, the problem is usually a misunderstanding about how the system works. Match make you cancel at least 48 hours before the next renewal date, which in the case of a 3 day trial would mean practically doing it straight away. The free trial I was talking about here is an unofficial one. The site only charges you after 7 days normally. Though I would still advise to cancel before the 7 days are up if you’re not interested in carrying on.

Please be aware that match.com are getting a load of bad feedback regarding their 3 day trial period. Many customers getting charged for a 6 month period even when they have cancelled within the 3 day period. I would warn potential customers who are tempted to sign up for the trial to be aware of this scam
